3. Data We Collect

Automatically collected data
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect IP addresses, and does not track individual users. Only aggregated, anonymised data is processed (e.g. total page views, country of origin at a regional level, device type). No personal data is collected through this tool.
The site also runs its own first-party measurement: a random session identifier kept in your browser's sessionStorage records visit milestones (a page was opened, a page was actually read, a contact action was taken). It uses no cookies, stores no IP address, and shares nothing with third parties.
Tracked links
If you reach this website through a personalised link we sent you (for example in a professional outreach email), that link carries a reference that lets us know the visit came from that message, and the milestones above are associated with it. We record only those milestones — whether the site was opened, read, and whether a contact action followed — not your detailed browsing behaviour.
4. Purpose & Legal Basis
Contact form
Data submitted through the contact form is used exclusively to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to discuss a potential professional engagement. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of both parties in establishing pre-contractual communication (Article 6.1.b GDPR).
Newsletter
Your email address is used to send periodic updates about projects, case studies, and insights on real-time architecture and digital twins. The legal basis is your explicit consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by sending an email to hello@uxbanos.com.
Tracked links and engagement measurement
Milestones from personalised links (see section 3) are used to gauge interest in a potential professional collaboration — for instance, to know whether a proposal we sent was received and read. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in following up business-to-business outreach (Article 6.1.f GDPR). You may object to this processing at any time by writing to hello@uxbanos.com.
Your data will never be used for purposes other than those stated above, and will never be sold or rented to third parties.
5. Data Retention
- Contact form data — retained for the duration of the professional relationship or enquiry, and deleted within 12 months if no engagement follows.
- Newsletter email addresses — retained for as long as you remain subscribed. Deleted promptly upon unsubscribe request.
Data may be retained for longer periods where required by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Services
This website uses the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:
Web3Forms
The contact form is processed via Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which receives the form submission data (name, email, message) in order to forward it to the website owner's inbox. Web3Forms does not store this data beyond the delivery process. See their privacy policy.
Cloudflare
This website is served through Cloudflare's global CDN infrastructure. Cloudflare may process network-level data (such as IP addresses) as part of its security and performance services. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Cloudflare Web Analytics, used on this site, is privacy-preserving and does not use cookies or collect personal data.
Newsletter delivery
Newsletter subscriptions are stored via a Google Apps Script connected to a private Google Sheet, accessible only by the website owner. Google's infrastructure processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy.
YouTube
Project pages in the private portfolio area embed videos hosted on YouTube (Google). These embeds are blocked by default and only load if you consent. Once loaded, Google receives your IP address and the address of the page, and stores cookies and local data on your device under its own terms. See the Cookie Policy and Google's privacy policy.
Microsoft Clarity
With your consent (the “Usage analytics” category), this website uses Microsoft Clarity to produce anonymised heatmaps and session replays that show how the site is used. Clarity stores identifiers on your device and sends usage data (interactions, pages viewed, device information) to Microsoft. It is never loaded before you opt in, and you can withdraw consent at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
6b. International Transfers
Several of the services above are operated by companies based in the United States, so using this website may involve a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and cookieless analytics. Network-level data including your IP address.
- Google — Apps Script and Sheets (newsletter addresses), and YouTube (only if you consent to external media). Neither is loaded unless you use the newsletter form or consent to external media.
- Web3Forms — delivery of contact form submissions.
- Microsoft — Clarity usage analytics (only if you consent to the “Usage analytics” category).
These providers generally rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework as their transfer mechanism.
Typefaces used to be loaded from Google Fonts on every page, which sent your IP address to Google whether or not you interacted with anything. Since August 2026 the font files are served from this domain and that transfer no longer happens.
7. Analytics & Cookies
This website uses no advertising cookies. The two optional items — YouTube video embeds on project pages and Microsoft Clarity usage analytics — store data on your device, so both stay blocked until you consent. The full inventory is in the Cookie Policy.
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information, and its own first-party milestone measurement described in section 3, which uses sessionStorage only and shares nothing with third parties. Neither builds a profile of you, and neither requires consent under Article 22.2 LSSI-CE. Microsoft Clarity, which does store identifiers on your device, only runs if you opt in to the “Usage analytics” category.
Your browser may store technical cookies set by Cloudflare's CDN for security and performance purposes (e.g. __cf_bm). These are strictly necessary cookies and do not require consent under applicable law.
Project pages in the private portfolio area embed videos from YouTube. YouTube sets its own cookies and local storage and receives your IP address, which is not strictly necessary, so those embeds are blocked until you allow the “External media” category. You can grant or withdraw that consent at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage with its date and the policy version.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR and LOPDGDD, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether your data is being processed and, if so, to access it.
- Right of rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right of erasure — to request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Right to restriction of processing — to request that processing be limited under certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, send an email to hello@uxbanos.com with the subject "Data Rights Request". We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) at aepd.es.
